Here are a couple of great Tour de France articles featuring George.
Baby Enzo
Posted Tuesday, June 24th, 2008
Many of you have asked for details on Enzo, so I thought I would share some more statistics. Enzo George Hincapie weighed 3.4 kilos and was 52 centimeters long when he was born on June 20, 2008. For those in the US, that's about 7.48 pounds and 20.47 inches.

Melanie and I are proud to announce the arrival of Enzo Hincapie on June 20, 2008 in Girona, Spain. Mel and Enzo are both healthy and resting comfortably. I'll send more news when I can.

New Sponsor
Posted Wednesday, June 18th, 2008
I was very pleased when I heard about our new team sponsor, Columbia Sportswear. It's really exciting to find a US-based company that wants to get involved in our sport on an international level. This is just what the whole industry needs. New sponsors excited about what professional cycling can do for their brands. We're going to start riding in the new Team Columbia jerseys at the Tour in July. Can't wait to see what those look like. Team moral is already good, and having a new sponsor gives us increased confidence long term. Look for the new jerseys around July 1.

Dauphine-Libere Time Trial Crash
George Wins Stage 2 of Dauphine-Libere
Posted Tuesday, June 10th, 2008
Congratulations George on a fantastic victory on Stage 2 of the Dauphine Libere! After High Road Sprinter, André Greipel had a mechanical in the last few kilometers, team director, Allan Peiper gave George the green light to go for the win. He didn't waste any time with an aggressive move attacking the field in the final approach to the line. George bridged the gap to a lone rider inside the last kilometer and out sprinted the rest for the stage win. He has shown some great fitness lately and we new good things were in store for this week. The win moves George into 4th place in the general classification. We also want to congratulate High Road teammate Craig Lewis on his performances so far this week. Craig placed 11th in the prologue time trial and was sitting in 10th place in the GC going into today's stage. He's riding really well and showing improvement with every race. Well done, boys.

Training Camp
Posted Wednesday, June 4th, 2008
I'm at a training camp in the Pyrenees today with some teammates. I'll be here until Friday. We're training and doing some recon for some of the climbs we'll face in the Tour. These mountains are really beautiful.

Waiting for the Baby
Posted Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008
Catalunya was fun and we finished up pretty well. I'm training for the Dauphine Libere, June 8-15 in preparation for the Tour de France. I like that race, so I'm looking forward to it. My teammates rode great in the Giro. Cavendish really proved he's one of the fastest guys in the world by winning some of those sprints. He really is super fast. Mel is about to pop, but still no baby. We're both ready at this point. I hope it happens soon, because I want to be here for the birth. I'll let you know when #2 arrives.
Ciao, George
Catalunya Prologue
Posted Monday, May 19th, 2008
The Tour of Catalunya started today with a short prologue. It's always better to win, but I am pleased with my race today. I gave it my all and had a good finish. I averaged 560 watts and 100 rpm, so I'm happy with that. Some of my teammates showed that they are riding well too. We're looking forward to a great race. Ciao, George
Great Job Chris!

Congratulations to Chris Butler of the Hincapie Barkley Development Team on winning the Division II Collegiate National Road Race and Team Time Trial Championships. It's great to see the Greenville guys doing so well. Chris is going to be traveling to Europe to race and train with the USA U23 National Team in June. Best of luck. We're really proud of you, Chris.

Back in Spain
Posted Friday, May 9th, 2008
I'm back in Spain with Mel and Julia after a very busy spring. We are expecting baby number two very soon, so things are pretty tense around the house. I have started my Tour de France preparation and I'm feeling good. I will do Catalunya next week, the Dauphine Libere in June and then The Tour in July. Best of luck to my teammates doing the Giro. It should be a good race. We put a good team together that should be competitive in Italy.
Ciao, George
Tour de Georgia
Posted Tuesday, April 29th, 2008
Wow, what a race. The team had a fantastic Tour de Georgia. Three stage wins, the sprinters jersey and the overall victory! It is hard to imagine a better performance. The guys rode great and the team worked well together. On top of our Tour de Georgia win, Kim Kirchen won Fleche Wallonne on Wednesday. It really has been a great week for High Road. I'm headed back to Europe to be with Mel and recover a little. Ciao, George

Back in the US
Posted Sunday, April 20th, 2008
I'm in Tybee Island, GA relaxing before the Tour de Georgia. I always love racing in the US. The Tour de Georgia is close to home, so I should see some friends and family this week. I'm a little tired from the Classics, but I'm looking forward to a good race. We have a talented team and the guys are riding well. The race starts on Monday. I hope you can get out and see a stage. Ciao, George
Paris - Roubaix
Posted Monday, April 14th, 2008
I am very disappointed with the outcome of the race on Sunday. I had great legs all day and was doing everything right. Unfortunately, I had a mechanical at a very critical moment. I eventually got a new wheel, but the leaders turned on the gas when they saw me stop. I worked hard to get back on, but at this level of competition, there is no room for bad luck.
Gent-Wevelgem
Posted Thursday, April 10th, 2008
I used Gent-Wevelgum as a tune up for this weekend and I'm feeling good. I am happy to see my teammates riding well and staying near the front. The team is really coming together nicely. We should have one of the strongest teams in the race on Sunday. It is really nice to have my brother and some friends visiting from Greenville, SC this week. I spend so much time on the road that it's great to have family around for a little while. We're getting to hang out while I rest up for Roubaix.

Flanders
Posted Monday, April 7th, 2008
As expected, Flanders was a tough race. I went for it and rode at the front all day. It wasn't to be for me today. Devolder didn't have to work with Boonen behind him, and he played his cards just right. I was totally cracked in the end, but I am happy with my result and feeling good for Roubaix.

Three Days of De Panne
Posted Thursday, April 3rd, 2008
I raced the Three Days of De Panne as my final tune up for the Spring Classics this week. The team did really well, with Cavendish using his speed to win 2 of the stages. I placed 9th overall, thanks to a 4th in the TT. I feel great and I'm ready for another stab at Flanders and Roubaix. I used Milan San Remo to test my fitness and all is on track. I've been training hard and now it's time to start tapering off for the start of the Northern Classic campaign. I'm really looking forward to Roubaix.
New Website
Posted Thursday, April 3rd, 2008
As you can see, I've done a big redesign of my website, and I hope you like it. The new site should be updated more regularly with photos and stories from my travels, racing and training. Look for some great photos from Graham Watson in the gallery. Thanks Graham for taking such great shots. I'll add more in the near future, but the important parts are up now. Things are really busy and I'm looking forward to the upcoming Classics. To hear more, check out the recent interview with me on Cyclingnews.com.
